Mentor. Operator. No excuses.
Retired Special Forces First Sergeant. Founder of Green Beret Chronicles. Mentor behind GBC Mentorship.
From Haiti to Special Forces
Jay immigrated from rural Haiti to Brooklyn, enlisted at eighteen, and spent two decades earning and holding a place in Special Forces — including years selecting and developing leaders as a First Sergeant.
He learned what selection actually screens for: integrity without supervision, perseverance when progress stalls, composure when smoked, and team ability when everything is unfair. That is the foundation of GBC Mentorship — physical readiness paired with mental fortitude, not one without the other.
The limiting factor for most people is not the body. It is the mind under pressure — and the discipline to keep moving when nobody is watching.
The standard we hold
Integrity
Do the right thing without supervision — especially when it costs you.
Discipline
Consistent standards and habits, applied every day.
Grit
Continue when progress stalls. Selection loves quitters. We do not.
Resilience
Regulate stress, emotion, and attention when you are tired, cold, and taxed.
Accountability
Own outcomes. No excuses. No blame-shifting.
Excellence
Good enough never is. Raise the bar and hold it.
